Dr. Ann-Kristin Kölln

Ann-Kristin is a Professor at the Department of Political Science at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden. She joined d|part as a Fellow in 2014 and specialises in research on party membership and public opinion. Ann-Kristin is co-investigator of the Swedish Party Membership Survey and a member of the Young Academy of Sweden.
Previously, she held positions at Aarhus University, KU Leuven in Belgium, and the University of Twente in the Netherlands, where she was part of the European Social Survey Netherlands team. Her main research interests are in party politics, public opinion, survey methodology, and theories of representative democracy. Ann-Kristin holds a doctorate from the University of Twente (the Netherlands), an MA in politics from Warwick University (United Kingdom), and a BA in politics and law from the University of Münster (Germany).
