Climate
d|part contributes to deepening the understanding of the climate crisis and actively involving the population in debates.
About
Technical solutions and political measures are necessary to tackle the climate crisis structurally and effectively. The population needs to be involved in this process. At d|part, we investigate the extent to which political discourse and measures are understood by the population and where opportunities for dialogue and risks of polarisation can be found. We particularly focus on people’s material concerns and investigate the relationship between distributive justice and willingness to change.
Our findings help civil society organisations and political actors to address different groups of people in a targeted manner and involve them in debates in order to further expand understanding of the climate crisis.
