The European Union shapes the policies of its member states and the everyday lives of its citizens. Nevertheless, it is difficult for many people to fully grasp. Our research helps to overcome the distance between citizens and decision-makers.
We explore how people view current European policy discourse and issues and what expectations they have of EU policy. We counter generalised assumptions about citizens of the EU or individual member states with differentiated and fact-based analyses. Through comparative analyses, we identify similarities and differences in attitudes, concerns and hopes.
